Smart and sustainable growing with Vertical Farming

The FlaxFarm series is available in two sizes and standard finishes such as stainless steel, galvanised steel, black, and green. Customised versions in any RAL colour are possible.
Besides sustainability, the system also offers exceptional efficiency. A FlaxFarm 35 consumes an average of 120 litres of water per month, while a FlaxFarm 60 requires about 200 litres per month – comparable to the water consumption of a ten-minute shower.
This advanced hydro system allows plants to grow without soil and minimise water consumption by up to 95% compared to traditional growing methods.
In terms of energy consumption, both models consume about 19,626 kWh per month, equivalent to the daily use of a modern laptop for 11 hours.
With an average harvest time of one month, FlaxFarm 35 offers space for 42 PlantPods, while FlaxFarm 60 has room for as many as 96 PlantPods. Thanks to this capacity and staggered planting in different growing cycles, each FlaxFarm ensures a continuous and fresh supply of herbs and vegetables.
Sustainable and circular PlantPods
The PlantPods are composed of renewable and recycled materials, such as coconut fibres and nutshells, making for an eco-friendly growing medium. This not only minimises the impact on the environment, but optimally preserves nutrients for healthy plant growth.

Vertical Farms: the FlaxFarm explained from the inside out
A Vertical Farm is a greenhouse-like growing system in which plants grow in layers on top of each other. The system works with water instead of soil and features LED lighting, ventilation and automated irrigation system. Vertical Farms are compact, durable and perfect for growing fresh herbs and vegetables locally – even without daylight.
A clever ventilation system ensures constant air circulation, helping plants grow stronger and reducing the risk of disease. The system also regulates temperature and humidity, ensuring a stable climate and healthy, vigorous growth in every FlaxFarm.
FlaxFarm uses smart LED lighting that mimics daylight. This stimulates plant growth and saves up to 60% energy. The luminaires have a lifetime of 50,000 hours, so replacement is rarely necessary. Sustainable, efficient and perfectly tailored to each plant’s needs.
FlaxFarm automatically controls light, water and air circulation. Sensors measure the environment and adjust settings for optimal growth. Via a clear dashboard, you easily manage everything yourself. Ideal for those who want to grow fresh crops effortlessly, at any time of the day.
FlaxFarm’s closed hydro system pumps water up into the PlantPods, without the use of soil. The nutrition is in the pods themselves. Thanks to water recycling, consumption is up to 95% lower than with traditional cultivation. Clean, sustainable and free of soil-borne diseases.

This fits in perfectly with the biophilic design principle, which focuses on the connection between people and nature. It opens the door to a unique sensory experience where you can not only see and feel nature, but also smell and taste it.
The collection consists of a wide range of herbs and vegetables, specially selected for optimal growth in indoor environments. From aromatic herbs like basil, coriander and mint to young leafy vegetables like pick-your-own lettuce and romaine lettuce.
In addition, the system also accommodates microgreens, such as arugula and red amaranth, which not only add intense flavour to dishes but are also packed with nutrients.
For an extra special culinary experience, even edible flowers can be grown, providing dishes with a sophisticated and colourful touch.
