The Challenge
Transforming a massive corporate building in Groenlo into a green oasis is not easy task. Nedap, a company that has always been progressive and innovative, did not want just a few plants here and there. They wanted a complete transformation, an environment based on biophilic design that feels like a jungle while supporting the well-being of their employees. That was our challenge: creating a green living environment within a corporate building, one that actively contributes to the well-being of those who work there. Additionally, the project posed challenges in terms of planning, given the large number of care units required and the need to keep the plants in pristine condition.
The Creative Plan
The concept of a green workplace is not new, but the way we approached this project is far from ordinary. Together with the interior builder and designer, we designed custom planters to create the green atmosphere that Nedap envisioned. We did not just focus on the visual aspects but also on the functional role of the office greenery. This resulted in a interior landscaping plan that closely aligns with Nedap’s needs and desires.
In most projects, greenery is an afterthought, added once the design is complete. However, in the case of Nedap, greenery played a central role in the design process from the very beginning of the project’s various phases. Thanks to this approach, we were able to create a highly unique and nature-inclusive environment.
The Result
The result is a green oasis in the middle of a bustling company. Greenery has been given a prominent place on every floor, creating a sense of calm and balance throughout the building. The jungle-like environment brings a piece of nature indoors, contributing to both productivity and the well-being of employees.
Our professionals ensure that the greenery throughout the building is well-maintained, keeping it fresh and vibrant at all times. Employee feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and the transformation has significantly enhanced the atmosphere and energy within the building.
